Equipment Provided and Additional Information:
The hotel will provide a table for projector(s) located in the front of the room for digital presentations, and a telescoping projector stand at the back the room for 3D (stereo) slide equipment. If there is a space constraint for the digital projector, a telescoping projector stand will be used instead for the front stand.
For digital projectors, the table will be located closer to the screen and will be located mid-aisle. There will be an additional table with ample space for a laptop and chair for the presenter, usually located at the front and to the side.
Sound for your program will be presented through the hotel monaural (stereo not available at all hotels) sound system.
One screen will be provided as well as two microphones (one at the podium and one at the projection table).
If you need additional equipment not listed above, it will be your responsibility to bring the equipment to the conference with you. Complete the section “Equipment Provided by Presenter” if you are bringing any of your own equipment. Your equipment can be stored in the conference committee’s equipment room. While every effort will be made to insure the safety of your equipment, PSA cannot assume responsibility for its loss or damage.
PSA has several sets of matched projectors and laptops. These sets are calibrated each year prior to the conference at the conference hotel. If you prefer to use your own matched equipment, feel free to bring it to the conference. If you are planning to run a program, please make a backup of your program and put in on a flash drive or a CD. Computers have been known to crash at the worst times.
If your program was created on a PC, the Standard is to use ProShow, Producer, or PowerPoint. If you create your program on a MAC and are not bringing your laptop to the conference contact the Equipment Chair. If you plan to only bring a CD or DVD of your presentation program, please contact the Equipment Chair and you will need to send a copy of the presentation to the Chair to make sure it works on the PSA laptop. This should be mailed to the Chairperson no later then 4 weeks prior to the conference. This will be the Chair's backup copy. Each presenter will still be responsible for bringing an additional copy of their program to the conference.
